So you’ve been sent your new email address and password, now you want to start using it! This page will help you set up and use your new email address.

Note : After the email address has been created, please allow 30 minutes before trying to set up and use your new email address

Your details (replace yourdomain.co.uk with your actual domain) :

Username : Your email address (example@yourdomain.co.uk)
Password : Use the email address’ password

Incoming Server : imap.yourdomain.co.uk (for POP3 use pop3.yourdomain.co.uk)
IMAP : Port 993 (143 for non-SSL)
POP3 : Port 995 (110 for non-SSL)

Outgoing Server : smtp.yourdomain.co.uk
SMTP : Port 465 (25 or 587 for non-SSL)

Authentication is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP

 

How You Change Your Email Address Password

Using your email address and password, log in to www.stackmail.com. In the top right, click on ‘Settings’ and then ‘Password’ in the column on the left. Enter your current password and new password, then hit save.

 

How To Use Webmail

The quickest and easiest way to use your new email address is to use our webmail. You can log in to www.stackmail.com using your email address and password.

 

How To Set Up Your Email Address on an iPhone or iPad

You can setup your iPhone or iPad to receive mail from one of your mailboxes as follows:

Step 1 – Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Add Mail Account

Step 2 – On the next screen enter the following settings:

  • Name: Your name as you would like recipients to see it
  • Address: The email address for the mailbox you want to setup
  • Password: The password for the mailbox
  • Description: Your own description for the mailbox

Step 3 – Press Save, then the next screen, leave IMAP selected at the top and enter the following settings:

  • Incoming Mail Server
    Host Name: imap.yourdomain.co.uk
    User Name: The email address
    Password: The password for the email address
  • Outgoing Mail Server
    SMTP: smtp.yourdomain.co.uk
    User Name: The email address
    Password: The password for the mailbox

Step 4 – Press Save then you will then get a message saying Cannot Connect Using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?, press Yes. It should then connect to the mail server and the account will be setup.

You’re done!

If you are having problems with sending mail, you may need to change the port for the SMTP server. You can do this by going to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Select the mail account > SMTP > Primary Server > Server Port and changing this to 587.

 

How To Set Up Your Email Address on an Android Device

To set up an Android device for use with an IMAP/POP3 mailbox, please follow these instructions.

Step 1 – From your home screen select the application draw button to show all of your applications.

Step 2 – Find the “mail” application and open it..

Step 3 –  If this is your first email account, you will be presented with an email setup screen. Select the “Other(POP3/IMAP)” option. Otherwise, press the Menu button, tap Accounts, press the Menu button, and tap Add account.

Step 4 – In the first box add your email address, and in the second, enter the password associated with your email account.

Step 5 – Tap the Manual setup button. The screen should now be populated with some of the following settings. Please replace any that are missing or incorrect with the correct values.

  • Protocol: IMAP or POP3 (IMAP is preferred for mobile devices)
  • Email address: The email address
  • Username: The email address
  • Password: Your email address password
  • IMAP/POP3 server: imap.yourdomain.co.uk
  • Security Type: SSL
  • Leave the port unchanged or at 993

Step 6 – Press next. You will now be presented with the outgoing mailserver options. Make sure the following settings are populated and correct.

  • Login Required: Yes
  • Username: The email address
  • Password: Your email address password
  • SMTP Server: smtp.yourdomain.co.uk
  • Security type: SSL.
  • Leave the port unchanged or at port 465

Now you just need to choose your account name and your name as you wish to appear in the from field. Click “Finish Setup” and you should be done.
